Cultural Note

In the Netherlands, "de kerk" (the church) is often "oud" (old) and historic, while "het café" is "gezellig" (cozy)—a Dutch favorite! "Het museum" might be "mooi" (beautiful), but "het restaurant" can be "duur" (expensive) in tourist spots.
